The sky was clear when we arrived at the Grinning Cat Commune, pulled into one of the vast parking lots near the kennels, and parked. Perrin was massively excited, solely because we were at a BRAND NEW PLACE!!!, and Maitland was quiet, hanging out in the back seat like this was a boring day at home and not the start of a huge out of town event.

I leashed up the pups when we parked and Perrin practically climbed over Maitland's back to scramble out of the car first, excited little barks sharp in the cool air.

"All right, enough, let's go," I said, looking around to try and find an office or someplace we could register.

Perrin peed on the parking lot curb on the way.
